Gerald L. Schaper, CFA

Jerry is the founding Principal and Chairman of Schaper, Benz & Wise Investment Counsel, Inc. Jerry manages relationships and portfolios for the firm's clients. He also performs fundamental research on companies held within client portfolios and on prospective investment ideas. Prior to founding the firm, Jerry spent 23 years at Associated Bank, where he created and built a nationally recognized trust investment operation. During his tenure he was also a Director, an Executive Vice-President, and a member of the Management Executive Committee of Associated Bancorp, a publicly held regional bank holding company in Wisconsin. His investment career began at Central Trust
Company in Cincinnati, OH, where he was employed in the trust investment department from 1961 to 1968.

Jerry is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Milwaukee, the CFA Institute, and the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP).

After serving in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957, receiving an honorable discharge, Jerry earned a BA degree from Denison University in 1960, and an MBA degree from Indiana University in 1961.
